Little Saints Orphanages is Celebrating 3 Decades of God’s Faithfulness

We are celebrating 30 years of God's faithfulness on June 4th 2024. We are in wonder of God’s hand as He has guided us all this way and like Samuel we say, Ebenezer has helped us thus far. We are so thankful to be able to have kept the fire burning when times were tough, when storms raged and it seemed like victory was uncertain. We now have 30 years worth of experience by which we proclaim that God is faithful.

For our celebration of 30 years of Little Saints Orphanages being birthed, we are celebrating all the people who made it possible to get here. We are a house that practices gratitude and we know faithful God will help us celebrate with you in style!

Save the date and let’s have you at our celebration of life for the children whose lives God has saved through the ministry of Little Saints!

Here Are Our Needs

We need some special help from you our family of sponsors.

Little Saints Orphanage is a place where children are cared for to the highest quality available and in this age that also includes care for their mental health. The Little Saints Orphanages is looking for psychologists and Christian counsellors who are willing to volunteer to ensure that whenever a need arises, Little Saints have a Mental Health professional to help them navigate anything they may be experiencing.

We are looking to hire more social workers on a volunteer basis and also skill facilitators who will teach at the Safe haven campus in Ikorodu.

We also need help to pay for the medical needs of one of our children who is in need of a surgery. If you are willing to assist with this, please get in contact with us via email at maryann@littlesaintsorphanages.org.

We are also in need of a 30 seater coaster bus for the Safe haven for children campus at Ikorodu. The bus is an urgent need as we have been limited in our ability to reach the different parts of Ikorodu because we don't have the transportation to reach the children at the inner environs of that location.

We are looking to raise the money this week and we hope you will be a part of it. You could give directly through this link or contact the founder at 08023044841 to be a part of this.

Celebrating Our Cake Fairy, Mrs. Sheri Adegbenro

This month we are celebrating Mrs. Sheri Adegbenro.  She is the wonderful sponsor who is responsible for donating birthday cakes and cards every single month so the little Saints can celebrate their birthday in fun and style. She is such a joyful, warm bubble of love and we are so so happy celebrate her, as she had her birthday earlier on January 11th. Ma, we say thank you to our cake fairy and we are happy and blessed to have you and your love in our lives. May you always experience the love you show towards the Little Saints.

Lovina Graduates From Olabisi Onabanjo University

Help us celebrate Lovina George, the newest Little Saints Graduate. Lovina has just graduated from Olabisi Onabanjo University, and this marks the end of one season and the beginning of a new one of NYSC, first job and adulting for real. Help us congratulate her as graduating from university is a big deal. We also celebrate you our sponsors because without you it would be impossible to send our Little Saints to these schools.  Thank you for leaving a mark in the lives of these children, your love is not forgotten.

The Headquarters Administrator Turns 50!

We celebrate with Mrs. Maryann Ekanem Akpan, our Headquarters administrator who turned 50 on January 20th.  She celebrated in true Little Saint’s fashion with a Thanksgiving during our Wednesday fellowship. Her Golden Jubilee was a perfect combination of fun and faith as it also marked 15 years of service in this vineyard of the Lord. She chose to use her birthday celebration as an opportunity to raise funds to help 50 less privileged children to pay their school fees, so please get in touch with her if you would like to partner with her or bless her.

WORK: A Little Saints Story

Once upon a time, there was a little girl named Anna.  God had made Anna with a specific purpose to ensure that her community learns His word. And to fulfill that purpose, He made her intelligent, beautiful and gave her a big heart to love others.

Well, as Anna was growing up, everyone had an opinion about who she should be. One said “Anna, you’re so intelligent. You should be a businesswoman and make lots of money to care for the community.”

Another said, “Anna, you should be a supermodel. You’re so beautiful! You would be on the cover of magazines and be famous.”

Another said, “Anna, you have such a big heart. Are you sure you’re not supposed to be a stay-at-home mom to take care of your kids?” This all made Anna so confused, so she went to her pastor and asked, “I’m so confused. I’m good at all these three but none of them seems like the right answer to me.”

The pastor smiled and showed her this scripture.

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”

Ephesians 2:10 ESV

And Anna realized that God had made her for a specific purpose and when she asked, He showed her.

This story is about all of you, finding out the specific purpose that God called you to do.  Go to God today and ask Him. “My gifts, my talents, the things I find easy. Who did you create me to be God and who am I called to bless with these gifts?”

In every season, let us focus on the faithfulness of God!
